The home and headquarters of the Missing Kind charity in Norwich relies on a fantastic team of volunteers working alongside our small team of paid staff to keep the venue running smoothly. Click here to meet the Norwich team.

Our Norwich venue, which is managed in partnership with social enterprise Pop Up Enterprises CIC, houses our KindaKafe and Shop as well as our KindaBusiness Hub.

The KindaKafe opened in 2016 with a focus on healthy eating and community kindness. There's plenty of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options on the menu. With free wi-fi, friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere, it's the perfect spot to catch up with friends, have a working lunch or even host a book club!

The KindaKafe offers a safe space where everyone is welcome, along with a Pay it forward scheme to help those in need and access to information and resources from the wider Missing Kind network.

Our shop sells ethical products sourced from local suppliers, social enterprises and other charitable organisations and individuals that support social causes. It showcases our charity’s support of social enterprise and kindness in the community.

Each product has its own social purpose story, offering an opportunity to explore how to use your purchasing power more ethically and support social enterprise. To find out more about how you can Buy Social click here.

In addition, the Norwich venue has been used to hold debates, talks and film screenings to encourage people to think more about, and take action, for social justice and environmental change and offering individuals the opportunity to move forward with their lives.

In the past, we have held events on everything from Earth Day, with guest speakers from the local University and Green Party, to workshops educating people on how to clean their homes lovingly just using the contents of their kitchen cupboard.

Volunteering opportunities

We would be lost without the support of our lovely team of volunteers who help with marketing and social media, events, watering the buildings plants and in our KindaKafe and Shop. Whilst giving up their time volunteers develop work experience, life skills and improve their confidence.  Click here to find out more about why they are so important.
